Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority

The Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority (ADEA) is a First Nation Education Authority serving the three Denesuline First Nation communities in the Athabasca Basin of Northern Saskatchewan.

ADEA services four schools; Father Porte Memorial School in Black Lake First Nation, Father Gamache Memorial School in Fond Du Lac First Nation, Father Megret Elementary School and Father Megret High School in Hatchet Lake First Nation. The Authority serves a total student population of approximately 1200 students.

ADEA maintains their regional office in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

The Authority is working toward improved educational outcomes by using the latest technology, progressively piloting programs and integrating Denesuline culture into the classroom and school curriculum.

Chromebooks Provided for ADEA Students

The first shipments of Chromebooks have been received in each of our schools for Grades 10, 11 & 12 students. The Chromebooks will support each Phase of Learning as we educate during the pandemic. Thank you to all ADEA office staff who worked hard to prepare all Chromebooks for shipping and to all school staff who delivered the Chromebooks to all students!
Pre-K to Grade 9 students will receive theirs in January 2021.
